Build Your Confidence

Confidence is the difference between feeling unstoppable, and feeling scared out of your wits. Here are a few keys to build your confidence.

Think Outside The Box

Never forget to "Think Outside of the Box."

Improve Your Intelligence

Your brain needs exercise similar to a muscle. If you utilize it usually and within the right ways in which, you'll become a more skilled thinker and increase your ability to focus. However if you never use your brain, or abuse it with harmful chemicals, your ability to think and learn can deteriorate.

Hocus, Pocus, Don’t Lose Focus!

Hocus, Pocus, Don’t Lose Focus!

The secret of success is to focus on priorities first. Identify the action steps required to accomplish your desired result and then keep focused on those specific steps.
 The lack of focus is the reason for failure. Procrastinating, hesitating or getting busy with lower priority tasks will impede your success. If you need help identifying the action steps connect with a mentor, coach or someone who's achieved the success you desire.

God Gave Me Far Better That What I've Requested For

God Gave Me Far Better That What I've Requested For

I asked for health that I might do greater things;
I was given personal failing that I might do better things.

I asked for strength that I might achieve;
I was given weakened that I might learn to follow.

I asked for wealth that I might be happy;
I was given poverty that I might be wise.

I asked for power and praise of men;
I was given life that I might enjoy all things.

I got nothing to ask for and everything to hope for;
Yet in spite of having been deprived of all I asked for, in my heart...

I am thankful that God has given me
More than what I have asked for.

Never QUIT!

Never QUIT!

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
    when the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
    When the funds are low and the debts are high,
    And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
    When care is pressing you down a bit,
    Rest, if you must, but do not quit.

    Life is queer with its twists and turns,
    As every one of us sometimes learns,
    And many a failure turns about,
    When he might have won had he stuck it out;
    Don’t give up though the pace seems slow—
    You may succeed with another blow.

    Often the goal is nearer than,
    It seems to a faint and faltering man,
    Often the struggler has given up,
    When he might have captured the victor’s cup,
    And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
    How close he was to the golden crown.

    Success is failure turned inside out—
    The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
    And you never can tell how close you are,
    It may be near when it seems so far,
    So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit—
    It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Tips to be Successful in Your Business

These individuals are focused on making their businesses work, and eliminate any hindrances or distractions to their goals. They have overarching strategies and outline the tactics to accomplish them. Successful entrepreneurs are disciplined enough to take steps every day toward the achievement of their objectives.
2. Determination
Entrepreneurs are not thwarted by their defeats. They look at defeat as an opportunity for success. They are determined to make all of their endeavors succeed, so will try and try again until it does. Successful entrepreneurs do not believe that something cannot be done.
3. Confidence
The entrepreneur does not ask questions about whether they can succeed or whether they are worthy of success. They are confident with the knowledge that they will make their businesses succeed. They exude that confidence in everything they do.
4. Open Minded

5. Self Starter
Entrepreneurs know that if something needs to be done, they should start it themselves. They set the parameters and make sure that projects follow that path. They are proactive, not waiting for someone to give them permission.
Successful entrepreneurs want to see what the view is like at the top of the business mountain. Once they see it, they want to go further, and their businesses soar as a result.

A 'Yes' Face

A 'Yes' Face
by Charles Swindoll

During Thomas Jefferson's presidency he and a group of travelers were crossing a river that had overflowed its banks. Each man crossed on horseback fighting for his life. A lone traveler watched the group traverse the treacherous river and then asked President Jefferson to take him across. The president agreed without hesitation, the man climbed on, and the two made it safely to the other side of the river where somebody asked him: "Why did you select the President to ask this favor?" The man was shocked, admitting he had no idea it was the President of the United States who had carried him safely across. "All I know," he said, "is that on some of your faces was written the answer 'No' and on some of them was the answer 'Yes.' His was a 'Yes' face."

"The most significant decision I make each day is my choice of an attitude. When my attitudes are right there's no barrier too high, no valley too deep, no dream too extreme and no challenge too great." - Charles Swindoll

10 Things No One Can Steal From You

Of all the things that can be stolen from you – your possessions, your youth, your health, your words, your rights – what no one can ever take from you is…

Your uniqueness. – You are unrepeatable. There is a magic about you that is all your own.  Having a low opinion of yourself is not humility, it’s self-destruction.  Holding your uniqueness in high regard is not egotism, it’s a necessary precondition to happiness and success.  You deserve to wear a smile in your heart.  Not because of what you have or what you do, but because of who you are.  Yes, you are changing each day, but you are always amazing just as you are.

How you feel about yourself. – It takes a long time to learn how to NOT judge yourself through someone else’s eyes, but once you do the world is yours for the taking.  We have all been placed on this earth to discover our own life, and we will never be happy or successful if we try to live someone else’s idea of it.  So give up worrying too much about what others think of you.  What they think isn’t all that important.  What is important is how you feel about yourself.  Read Emotional Freedom.

Your intuition. – If you’re thinking just like everyone else, you aren’t really thinking.  Follow your intuition.  Do what makes sense to you.  Never compare your journey to someone else’s.  Everyone has their own struggles, their own challenges, and a different path that they chose to get to where they are.  Remember, you don’t need to wait for external circumstances to perfectly align in order to show up for the life you’ve been dreaming of.  What you’re looking for is already somewhere inside you.

Your passion. – If there was ever a moment to follow your passion and do something that matters to you, that moment is now.  Find your passion, whatever it is.  Become it, let it become you, and great things will happen FOR you, TO you, and BECAUSE of you.  And even if things don’t work out as planned, you’ll still be heading in the right direction.  Because nothing you have passion for is ever a waste of time, no matter how it turns out.

Your determination. – When life gives you something that makes you feel afraid, that’s when life gives you a chance to grow strong and be brave.  Nothing is permanent in this crazy world, not even your mistakes, failures, or troubles.  If you keep your eyes open and your feet moving forward, you’ll eventually find what you need.

Your attitude. – Something nobody can take away from you is the way you choose to respond to what others say and do to you.  The last of your freedoms is to choose your attitude in any given circumstance.  Choose to be happy and positive.  It is not always easy to find happiness in ourselves, but it is always impossible to find it elsewhere.  Regardless of the situation we face, our attitude is our choice.  So smile as you walk away and move on from negative people and their actions.

Your ability to spread love and kindness. – The measure of your life will not be in what you accumulate, but in what you give away.  And 99 percent of the time you get what you put in, so give freely.  Charity can be in the form of a smile, lending an ear or a helping hand.  There are many acts of kindness that don’t cost a cent.  Remember, the ultimate goal of all goals is to be happy.  If you want to be happy make those around you happy.  Read The Happiness Project.

Your hope. – It’s not the load that breaks you down, it’s the way you carry it.  The biggest obstacles that stand between a person and what they want in life is the will to try it, and the faith to believe it’s possible.  Hope is the little voice inside your head that whispers “maybe” when it seems like the whole world is shouting “impossible!”

Your knowledge and life experiences. – Character and wisdom are sculpted over time.  They come with loss, lessons, and triumphs.  They come after doubts, second guesses, and unknowns.  If there was a definitive path to success, everyone would be on it.  The seeds of your success are planted in your past failures.  Your best stories will come from overcoming your greatest struggles.  Your praises will be birthed from your pains.  So keep standing, keep learning, and keep living.  Read The Road Less Traveled.

Your choice to move on emotionally. – Don’t let past relationships and old mistakes ruin your future.  Don’t let someone or something that didn’t make it in your life continue to hurt you.  If you do, you’re still giving a portion of your life to something that no longer exists – it’s like letting your happiness slip into a black hole.  Learn the lesson, release the pain, and move on.  Scars remind us of where we have been, not where we are headed.

A Police Story

A Police Story
PI Valenzuela (CL 2005)

A plane crashed, and there were three survivors. All were professionals; a lawyer, an engineer, and of course the main actor, a Police Officer.

Unfortunately, they were held captives in the middle of the jungle by a group of ferocious crocodiles. one morning, the baby crocodile got hungry, so he asked his mother for something to eat for breakfast. The mother said, "Go ahead, eat the lawyer. Anyway, lawyer are liars."

Time passed so fast that lunchtime came. And again, the baby crocodile asked his mother for food. The mother retorted, "Go ahead, engineer for engineer are not environment-friendly. They destroy our homes."

After a few hours, the bay crocodile asked his mother, "Mother, can I now eat the policeman? I think he is very delicious."

"What?" the mother replie d. "Stupid! Don't you recognize him? He is also a crocodile and even much bigger than us, do something to feed him before he eat us."

Although this may appear as a joke for some and an insult for others, this serve as a challenge for us, we, the future crocodiles?

We have a choice. Most especially, we have all the chances to make a diferrence or join the rest of the crocodiles. Our chosen profession is indeed a unique one. Why? Yes, teachers teach lessons in the school, while a policeman teaches lessons in life. But unlike the latter, a teacher would not allow himself to get killed if his student failed to learn. Doctors heal wounded bodies yet a policeman heal social diseases. Engineers build bridges that may connect vast lands, but policeman defend people's live and properties. And no lawyer would agree to die with his client in a lethal injection chamber.

These simple illustrations plainly manifest the nobility of our chosen profession, because we are prepared to die for our customers and clients, the public.

Let me remind you that the foundation embedded in our hearts by our homes, schools, and community will hopefully serve as our main weapon and shield as we embark on our profession.

Sa pagmulat ng aking mata
narinig ko sa likod ang aming punta
Magtawag ng kaklase isa-isa
Bago maglinis, magpulong-pulong muna

"We are the Last"

"We are the Last"
by Cadet 4C Gotladera

It will take a lot of oceans to cross
Before I can read into your soul
I feel hundred years had past
Since we last held our hands

All alone, misery fills me
Tears want to flow, can't you see?
My heart is a slave of your memories
I kwow there's nothing that can to fight this fear

I beg you even for once take a glance
Look at us it seems we're the last
The love that we have
May it be until the end

Problems may still come along
Hear says will grow old
They may see it's impossible
But let us prove they are wrong

Let the stars during the night
Be our light and guide
To keep us alive
And promise to ourselves we
Will never be apart.

"A Full Jar"

One day an expert in time management was speaking to a group of business students and to drive home a point, he used an illustration those students will never forget.
As he stood in front of the group of high-powered overachievers he said, “Okay, time for a quiz.”
Following that, he pulled out a one-gallon, wide mouth mason jar and set it on the table in front of him. He took out about a dozen fist-sized rocks and carefully placed them, one at a time, into the jar.
When the jar was filled to the top and no more rocks would fit inside, he asked, “Is this jar full?”
Everyone in the class said, “Yes.”

Then he said, “Really?”
He reached under the table and pulled out a bucket of gravel. He dumped some gravel in and shook the jar causing pieces of gravel to work themselves down into the space between the big rocks.
Subsequently, he asked the group once more, “Is the jar full?”
By this time the class was on to him.
“Probably not.” One of them answered.
“Good.” He replied.
He reached under the table and brought out a bucket of sand. He started dumping the sand into the jar and it went into all of the spaces left between the rocks and the gravel.
Once more he asked the question, “Is this jar full?”
“No!” The class shouted.
Once again he said, “Good.”
He grabbed a pitcher of water and began to pour it in until the jar was filled to the brim.
Then he looked at the class and asked, “What is the point of this illustration?”
One eager beaver raised his hand and said, “The point is no matter how full your schedule is; you can always fit more things in it if you try hard enough.”
“No, that’s not the point.” The speaker replied.
“The illustration teaches us that if you don’t put the big rocks in first, you’ll never get them in at all.”

What are the big rocks in your life? Time with your loved ones? Faith, education or your dreams? A worthy cause? Teaching or mentoring others? Remember to put these Big Rocks in first or you’ll never get them in at all.

Hence when you are reflecting on this short story, ask yourself this question, “What are the big rocks in my life?”

Then, put those in your jar first.

A Small Story With Powerful Lesson

Read this small story; Hope that makes a BIG change in YOU
.
The Professor began his class by holding up a glass with some water in it. He held it up for all to see & asked the students “How much do you think this glass weighs?”
.
’50gms!’….. ’100gms!’ …..’125 gms’ …the students answered.
.
“I really don’t know unless I weigh it,” said the professor, “but, my question is:
What would happen if I held it up like this for a few minutes?”…. .
‘Nothing’ …..the students said.
.
‘Ok what would happen if I held it up like this for an hour?’ the professor asked.
‘Your arm would begin to ache’ said one of the student
.
“You’re right, now what would happen if I held it for a day?”
“Your arm could go numb; you might have severe muscle stress & paralysis & have to go to hospital for sure!”
….. Ventured another student & all the students laughed
.
“Very good.
But during all this, did the weight of the glass change?” Asked the professor.
‘No’…. Was the answer.
“Then what caused the arm ache & the muscle stress?”
.
The students were puzzled.
“What should I do now to come out of pain?” asked professor again.
“Put the glass down!” said one of the students
.
“Exactly!” said the professor.
Life’s problems are something like this.
.
Hold it for a few minutes in your head & they seem OK.
Think of them for a long time & they begin to ache.
.
Hold it even longer & they begin to paralyze you. You will not be able to do anything.
.
It’s important to think of the challenges or problems in your life, But EVEN MORE IMPORTANT is to ‘PUT THEM DOWN’ at the end of every day before you go to sleep…
.
That way, you are not stressed, you wake up every day fresh &strong & can handle any issue, any challenge that comes your way!
.
Moral
So, when you start your day today, Remember friend to ‘PUT THE GLASS DOWN TODAY

Five Ways to Conquer Fear & Develop Courage

courage, keep moving

Courage is the ability to continue moving forward even in the face of challenge, adversity, and fear.

Without fear, there could be no bravery. So being courageous is largely about managing fear the best you can and still taking the best action available to you.

These strategies will help you develop the courage to tackle your fears:

1. Decide that you're going to conquer your fears. The simple act of making a decision means you've cut yourself off from all other possibilities. So tell yourself that you're going to tackle your fears one at a time.

2. Accept the fact that there will be some fear. Fear can frequently be decreased, but sometimes not completely eliminated. Remember that living courageously means dealing with some level of fear but going forward anyway.

3. Develop the idea that fear isn't a good excuse to avoid doing something. Unless you're going to fall off a cliff, being afraid is an ineffective way of choosing your course of action. If you get into the habit of not acting due to fear, continuing on that path only becomes easier.

4. Ask yourself, "What's the worst that can happen?" Many times your knee-jerk reaction is to feel fear in a given situation, but you might find out the worst that can happen isn't that bad.

5. Recognize that feelings of fear and excitement are very closely related. Try telling yourself you're just really excited the next time you take action to do something on your list.

You can live courageously. Put the above plan into action today. The key is to start small and move forward from there. Remember that being courageous is all about taking action in spite of fear, not the absence of fear. There's no time like the present to cultivate your courage.

"Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear - not absence of fear."
– Mark Twain

Five Easy Ways to Boost Your Mind

Your brain needs exercise similar to a muscle. If you utilize it usually and within the right ways in which, you'll become a more skilled thinker and increase your ability to focus. However if you never use your brain, or abuse it with harmful chemicals, your ability to think and learn can deteriorate.
Here are five easy ways in which anyone can squeeze a little more productivity out of the old gray matter.

1. Minimize Television Watching – This is a hard sell. People love vegetating in front of the television, myself included more often than I’d like. The problem is watching television doesn’t use your mental capacity OR allow it to recharge. It’s like having the energy sapped out of a muscle without the health benefits of exercise.
Don’t you feel drained after a couple hours of TV? Your eyes are sore and tired from being focused on the light box for so long. You don’t even have the energy to read a book.
When you feel like relaxing, try reading a book instead. If you’re too tired, listen to some music. When you’re with your friends or family, leave the tube off and have a conversation. All of these things use your mind more than television and allow you to relax.
2. Exercise – I used to think that I’d learn more by not exercising and using the time to read a book instead. But I realized that time spent exercising always leads to greater learning because it improves productivity during the time afterwards. Using your body clears your head and creates a wave of energy. Afterwards, you feel invigorated and can concentrate more easily.
3. Read Challenging Books – Many people like to read popular suspense fiction, but generally these books aren’t mentally stimulating. If you want to improve your thinking and writing ability you should read books that make you focus. Reading a classic novel can change your view of the world and will make you think in more precise, elegant English. Don’t be afraid to look up a word if you don’t know it, and don’t be afraid of dense passages. Take your time, re-read when necessary, and you’ll soon grow accustomed to the author’s style.
Once you get used to reading challenging books, I think you’ll find that you aren’t tempted to go back to page-turners. The challenge of learning new ideas is far more exciting than any tacky suspense-thriller.
4. Early to Bed, Early to Rise – Nothing makes it harder to concentrate than sleep deprivation. You’ll be most rejuvenated if you go to bed early and don’t sleep more than 8 hours. If you stay up late and compensate by sleeping late, you’ll wake up lethargic and have trouble focusing. In my experience the early morning hours are the most tranquil and productive. Waking up early gives you more productive hours and maximizes your mental acuity all day.
If you have the opportunity, take 10-20 minute naps when you are hit with a wave of drowsiness. Anything longer will make you lethargic, but a short nap will refresh you.
5. Take Time to Reflect – Often our lives get so hectic that we become overwhelmed without even realizing it. It becomes difficult to concentrate because nagging thoughts keep interrupting. Spending some time alone in reflection gives you a chance organize your thoughts and prioritize your responsibilities. Afterwards, you’ll have a better understanding of what’s important and what isn’t. The unimportant stuff won’t bother you anymore and your mind will feel less encumbered.
I’m not saying you need to sit on the floor cross-legged and chant ‘ommm’. Anything that allows a bit of prolonged solitude will do. One of my personal favorites is taking a solitary walk. Someone famous said, “All the best ideas occur while walking.” I think he was on to something. Experiment to find the activity that works best for you.
Conclusion – I hope you aren’t disappointed that none of the techniques I’ve proposed are revolutionary. But simple, unexciting answers are often the most valid. The challenge is having the will to adhere to them. If you succeed in following these 5 tips, you’ll be rewarded with increased mental acuity and retention of knowledge.

Think Outside of the Box

You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night. You pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for the bus:

1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
2. An old friend who once saved your life.
3. The perfect man (or) woman you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car?
You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first; or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect dream lover again.

This question was actually on a job application. The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer:

"I would give the car keys to my old friend, and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the woman of my dreams."
Never forget to "Think Outside of the Box."

Here are a few strategies to build your confidence.

Confidence is the difference between feeling unstoppable, and feeling scared out of your wits. Here are a few keys to build your confidence.
1. Straighten Up
Good posture can make you feel more confident. Stand up straight, keep your head up, and make eye contact. You’ll make a positive impression on others, and instantly feel more alert and empowered.
2. Put Some Pep in Your Step
People with confidence walk quickly. Even if you aren’t in a hurry, you can increase your confidence by picking up your pace. Walking 25% faster will make to you look, and feel, more important.
3. Sell Yourself to Yourself
Write a 30-60 second “commercial” that highlights your strengths and goals. Recite it in front of the mirror, keep it inside your head, record it and listen to it in the car. Whenever you need a confidence boost, sell yourself to yourself.
4. Do Your Best – Don’t Stress The Rest
One of the best ways to stay confident in the face of uncertainty is simply to be secure in knowing that you’ve done your best and finally learn to let go of the things you can’t control.
The more confidence you have, the more likely it is that you’ll succeed.
Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence. Inaction is not only the result, but the cause, of fear. Perhaps the action you take will be successful; perhaps different action or adjustments will have to follow. But any action is better than no action at all.
~Norman Vincent Peale

Inspirational Short Story of Florence Chadwick

Florence Chadwick
In 1952, young Florence Chadwick stepped into the waters of the Pacific Ocean off Catalina Island, determined to swim to the shore of mainland California. She had priviously been the first woman to swim the English Channel both ways.
The weather was foggy and chilly; she could hardly see the boats accompanying her. Still, she swam for fifteen hours. When she begged to be taken out of the water along the way, her mother, in a boat alongside, told her she was close and that she could make it. Finally, physically and emotionally exhausted, she stopped swimming and was pulled out. It was not until she was on the boat that she discovered the shore was less than half a mile away.
At a news conference the next day she said, “All I could see was the fog.…I think if I could have seen the shore, I would have made it.”

Two months later, Florence got back in the water to try her task once more. This time was different. She swam from Catalina Island to the shore of California in a straight path for twenty six miles. The same thick fog set in, but Florence made it because she said that while she swam, she kept a mental image of the shoreline in her mind. Florence Chadwick became the first woman to swim the Catalina Channel, eclipsing the men’s record by two hours!
She didn’t lose sight of the shore because she focused on that image of the coast in her mind, and in this way, she reached her goal.
Consider Florence Chadwick’s words: “I think if I could have seen the shore, I would have made it.” When a fog rolls over your life, or your business, have the courage to stay the course. If you can visualize your goal, you can make it through the fog.

How to Create Your Own Header

Create the Header

Step 1

Determine your blog's header size. Log in to your Blogger account and click the Options drop-down arrow on the right side of the page, between the orange "Pencil" icon and the "View blog" button. Select "Template," and then click the "Customize" button beneath your blog's thumbnail image. Click "Adjust
widths." Look in the text box to the right of the "Entire blog" slider. Most default Blogger headers are 960 pixels wide.

Step 2

Launch Windows Paint. Click the "Select" button in the menu, and then click on "Rectangular Section." Click the rectangle shape in the "Shapes" box.

Step 3

Hold down the left mouse button and drag your cursor across the screen to create a rectangle. Look at the bottom of the Paint program to check the width and height of the rectangle you are creating. If it's too large or small, place the cursor over one side of the rectangle until a double-sided arrow cursor appears and drag until the width measures 960 pixels.

Step 4

Create your header using the Paint program features. To add background color, select a color from the menu bar, click the "Paint can" icon, then click the icon over the rectangle. To add a logo or other graphic image, click "Paste from" and select the image. Drag the image or resize it using your mouse cursor. To create text, click the "A" icon in the Tools section to select a font, font size and font color. Click the mouse cursor in the rectangle and type in your text.

Step 5

Save your header by clicking on the "File" icon and choosing "Save as" from the menu. Type a name for your header and save the file on your computer desktop.

Install the Header

Step 1

Log in to your Blogger account. Click the Options drop-down arrow on the right side of the page, between the orange "Pencil" icon and the "View blog" button. Select "Layout."

Step 2

Click the "Edit" link at the top of the layout interface on the box labeled "Header."

Step 3

Click "Browse" in the dialog window that opens. Locate your header image on your desktop and wait while Blogger uploads the header to your blog. Select the placement option "Instead of title and description" and click "Save."

Step 4

Click the "View Blog" text link to view your blog with the new header.

How to Make Portfolio on Your Blog

A portfolio allows potential customers to view your plans, ideas and past work, and putting that portfolio online creates easy access to it from across the globe. You can customize your Blogger blog to fit the purpose of an online business portfolio, saving you the time of creating your portfolio from the ground up or the expense of hiring someone to do it for you.

Step 1

Sign up for a Google account if you do not have one already, using the same login information as you use for
Gmail, Google Groups or Orkut. Log in to Blogger using the Google account information (link in Resources).

Step 2

Type a name to appear at the end of each page in your portfolio into the "Display Name" field. Read the Terms of Service link, click to put a check mark in the box next to the link and click "Continue."

Step 3

Select a title appropriate for your portfolio. It should be professional and easy for you to remember, such as the name of your company followed by the word "portfolio." Enter this title in the "Blog Name" field, type the characters from the verification image into the field and click "Continue."

Step 4

Click on the template that best fits your business. For instance, if your company relies more on visuals such as architecture, select the "Dynamic Views" option because it focuses more on photos than the other templates. Click "Continue."

Step 5

Click the bright orange pencil icon to open a blank page to write a portion of your portfolio. Type a title in the field at the top of the page and the text in the field below it. If you create one page for each project you want to showcase, for instance, type the name of the project as the title and details about the project in the text field. Click the images along the toolbar to add photos or movies, browse to find the piece you want -- or type in the URL -- and click "Upload." Click "Done" after uploading.

Step 6

Click "Preview" at the top of the page to see what the portfolio page will look like. If you are happy with the page, click "Publish."

Step 7

Develop a new "blog" for each page of your portfolio. You can have a page for individual projects or creations, a page for each type of business within your larger company, or one for each type of item. To make more of an investment portfolio rather than a marketing one, use the Boston Consulting Group Box model by creating one page for each element: stars (high-growth, strong ideas or products), cash cows (low-growth, steady ideas or products), question marks (potentially profitable ideas or products) and dogs (low-profit ideas or products).

Design Your Own Drop Down Menu Tabs

A drop down menu is needed when you have too much content on your blog or you love keeping things organized. To add a drop down menu to your blogger blogs do this:

Instruction:
  1. Go To Blogger > Design > Page Elements
  2. Select a HTML/JavaScript Widget just under the header and paste the following code inside it,
 <div id='mbtnavbar'>
      <ul id='mbtnav'>
        <li>
          <a href='#'>Home</a>
        </li>
        <li>
          <a href='#'>About</a>
       </li>
        <li>
          <a href='#'>Contact</a>
        </li>
  <li>
           <a href='#'>Sitemap</a>
           <ul>
                <li><a href='#'>Sub Page #1</a></li>
                <li><a href='#'>Sub Page #2</a></li>
                <li><a href='#'>Sub Page #3</a></li>
              </ul>

        </li>
      </ul>
    </div>
Replace # with your Page Links and the bolded text with relevant page names. The yellow highlighted code is responsible for the drop down menu. You can copy and paste it under any tab you want just before </li>

Here's To Your Success!

“With confidence, you can reach truly amazing heights; without confidence, even the simplest accomplishments are beyond your grasp.”
~Jim Leohr
With confidence you can reach truly amazing heights! So what do you do if you lack confidence? Find it! It’s right there inside you, you just need to bring it out. Here are some behaviors to help you shine!
1. Dress for Success
While the clothes may not make the man, what you wear definitely helps you feel more confident. Once you’ve boosted your confidence, you can show up to a formal dinner party wearing flip-flops and still be at ease, but in the beginning dress the part of a successful individual.
Any man may be in good spirits and good temper when he's well dressed. ~Charles Dickens
2. Walk the Walk
Stand tall, walk proud, sit up straight. The most confident person can be easily spotted by the way he carries himself, the way he moves and his posture when sitting or standing. He lets everyone knows he is in the room. The non-confident person actually tries to make himself less noticeable!
Never bend your head. Always hold it high. Look the world straight in the face.
~Helen Keller
3. Talk the Talk
When you speak, Intend to be heard-- a clear intention will increase your confidence and the way your listeners perceive you…it’s that dramatic! Even if you don’t have a strong voice, your clear intention will get you noticed!
“The world has the habit of making room for the man whose words and actions show that he knows where he is going.”
~Napoleon Hill
4. Possess a Positive Perspective
Be POSITIVELY POSITIVE! (remember last week’s lessons?) Leave the insecurities and negativity behind -- that’s not you!
If you hear a voice within you say "you cannot paint," then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.
~Vincent Van Gogh
5. Get Going
The most important step in building self confidence is simply to take action. Work on something and get it done. Sitting at home and thinking about it will just make you feel worse. If you never get started, how can you ever finish?
“Nothing builds self-esteem and self-confidence like accomplishment.”
~Thomas Carlyle
